The Improv Guild’s signature style blends games, stories, and music together to create a unique and hilarious experience.
Outside Joke (Winnipeg): Prairie-born and hearty as hell, Outside Joke (Winnipeg, MB) is an improvisational theatre company with a flair for telling stories woven with improvised songs. Outside Joke brings a playfulness to the stage you’re sure to fall in love with. They have performed in festivals and theatres across Canada, including Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, and Montreal. Outside Joke is Andrea del Campo, Chadd Henderson, Toby Hughes, Leif Ingebrigtsen, RobYn Slade, and Jane Testar.
Bull Skit (Red Deer) was formed in 2008 in Red Deer alberta, it originated as a variety night that would showcase emerging talent in Central Alberta. Over the past five years Bull Skit evolved into a sketch comedy, and improv based show with live local music every month. Bull Skit’s unique and hilarious blend of improv and original sketch comedy has made it Red deer’s favourite source for laughs.
The Loose Moose Theatre Company, which was formed in 1977, has an international reputation for innovation and excellence in improvisational theatre. Techniques for training and presenting improvisation, which have been created by co-founder and former Artistic Director Keith Johnstone, and developed at Loose Moose are currently used worldwide. The Loose Moose also acts as a training centre for individuals interested in improvisational theatre, and we are very proud of our many alumni that are now working in the areas of film, television, and stage.
AJ Demers, Andrew Phung, and Renee Amber are all senior performers and instructors at the Loose Moose Theatre Company. Combined, they bring over 50 years of improvisation experience. All three are thrilled and excited to be participating in the Prairie Bowl!
